We are looking for a dynamic person with a passion for learning and teaching children from Birth to 5 years, who is motivated and has good communication skills, both written and verbal, then please consider applying for the position. Koala is located on the grounds of Sutherland Hospital and has a wonderful team of educators. We’re looking for an experienced Diploma Trained Educator to join our preschool room. Part-time educator in the 3-5 room on a Thursday and Friday is required. Koala is a Child Safe Centre and encourages those who are committed to children’s safety to apply. If you are a mature person with a passion for learning and teaching children from Birth to 5 years, who is motivated and has good communication skills both written and verbal, and good computer skills then please consider applying for the position. We are looking for someone with sound knowledge on child development in a play-based learning environment that will strengthen our team of educators and Centre.
Qualifications & experience: Diploma in Children's Services Working with children check number or be willing to obtain one. Child protection qualifications First Aid Certificate Proven experience educating and caring for children aged 3-5 years old. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Tasks & responsibilities Working with a team of professionals to provide the best outcomes for children To create and implement programs for each focus child that reflects the EYLF. Educating and engaging children from 3-5 years of age in meaningful learning opportunities, promoting the children's sense of agency or choice. Building strong relationships and maintaining effective communication with families Committed to maintaining a positive, supportive and respectful team environment Working within a roster that operates from 6:30am-6:00pm.
